Poland may limit freedom of movement

Poland is close to introducing travel restrictions in view of the continuously rising number of new Covid-19 infections, PM's adviser, Professor Andrzej Horban said on Friday.
Horban told the TVN24 television station that a decision on imposing such restriction depends on how people behave, whether they will be responsible and observe the government's Covid-19-related recommendations.
"Most people are reasonable. There are relatively few of those who are thoughtless," said the professor, but added that "we are close to" introducing movement restrictions before the upcoming Easter holiday.
He also appealed to Poles to get vaccinated. "The more people get vaccinated, the better," he said. "The risk of side-effects is small compared to the benefits we can gain."
