A decision on lifting the obligation to wear face masks on the streets will likely be announced today or tomorrow, Health Minister Lukasz Szumowski told TV broadcaster Polsat News on Monday morning.

There are three provinces where the effective daily reproduction ratio of infection is at 1 or above 1 and it will be necessary to consider whether this obligation should be maintained, he added.

Along with the decision on face masks, new information on the possibility of organising weddings will also be announced, Szumowski said.

Poles have been obliged to cover their noses and mouths in public places as of April 16.
