Poland leading destination for Shared Services Centres - report
Poland is a leading location for Shared Services Centres, according to a report by consulting firm Deloitte.
"Respondents from the consumer goods sector as well as financial institutions, indicate Poland as a leader of preferred locations for Shared Services Centres along with India and the United States," Pawel Splawski, partner and leader of Deloitte's Global Business Services in Central Europe, was quoted in a Thursday press release as saying.
The report, entitled '2021 Global Shared Services and Outsourcing Survey,' states that the Covid-19 pandemic has placed an emphasis on innovation in generating business value.
In order to increase profits and reduce costs, organisations are becoming more reliant on global models of providing services and are investing in the strategic possibilities of Shared Services Centres (SSC).
The Deloitte report will strengthen Poland's claim to be a leading SSC centre in Europe. According to research by the Association of Business Service Leaders, in 2019 there were some 1,400 SSC related firms in the country employing about 307,000 people.
