Poland launches vaccination of senior citizens
Senior citizens over 80 years of age can register for coronavirus vaccination from Friday, and people aged 70-79 will be able to apply for the jabs a week later.
Some 6,000 medical centres are taking part in the vaccination programme and senior citizens can register online, by phone or in person at the vaccination point.
After registration, patients will receive a text message with confirmation of a visit and a reminder text one day before the planned vaccination date.
Younger citizens can also declare their readiness to take the jab, although registration for their procedure will not start for some time as several weeks are needed to vaccinate the most vulnerable groups.
