The prime minister wants the vast majority of Poles vaccinated against Covid-19, Adam Niedzielski, the health minister, said on Wednesday.

"Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has set the goal for us to vaccinate more than 70-80 percent," said Niedzielski.

The minister added that he hopes that Poland will try to exceed the 50-60-percent threshold and later hit the 70-80 percent level.

He also said that it is "difficult to talk about a specific level, a specific minimum threshold of vaccination, which will guarantee that we will forget about the coronavirus completely, that will make the epidemic go away."
