Poland defeats world champs Spain in EuroBasket qualifier

Poland defeated world champions Spain (80-69) in a qualifier for the EuroBasket 2021 basketball championships in Zaragoza on Sunday.

This has been the first victory scored by Poland over Spain since 1972.

Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki congratulated the Polish team on their victory.

Poland will play their next qualifier against Romania on November 27.
