PM Mateusz Morawiecki on Thursday in Busko Zdrój, southern Poland, announced a Local Investment Fund to aid local development and modernisation undertakings. Morawiecki was in Busko Zdrój for talks with the city's authorities.

Morawiecki said the establishment of the fund was possible because Poland's finances had withstood the coronavirus epidemic better than expected. Describing the fund, he said it will aid the construction of schools, hospitals and infrastructure as well as other important local investments countrywide.

After the talks Morawiecki spoke with local inhabitants gathered in front of the city's Local Government Culture Centre.
