PM announces business programme for women
Mateusz Morawiecki, the Polish prime minister, on Wednesday announced a broad-scale financial support programme for women starting up businesses.
Morawiecki told the Polish Woman of the 21st Century conference in Warsaw that the scheme would be funded by PLN 1 billion (EUR 213 mln) annually. He added that more details about the programme would be announced soon.
The prime minister also announced plans to upgrade healthcare for women and, in this context, mentioned the introduction of state-of-the-art mammography procedures, as well as changes in preventive medicine and medical reimbursement programmes.
He also noted that a free HPV vaccine would be available within the coming months.
