PKN Orlen provides food and drinks for people at Polish-German border

Poland's largest fuel concern, PKN Orlen, said on Wednesday that due to the coronavirus epidemic Orlen's subsidiary Orlen Deutschland, started to provide people waiting to enter the country at the Polish-German border crossing points with food and drink.

"In these difficult times we have to help each other, which is why we are giving support to Poles waiting to enter the country at the border with Germany. Last night we started providing people with food and drinks. We are organising the action together with Orlen Deutschland and with the support of the Polish government," CEO of PKN Orlen Daniel Objatek said on Wednesday.

According to the company, the action is conducted in cooperation with the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration, and the Foreign Ministry.

On Tuesday, the company announced that due to the coronavirus epidemic it would produce 2.5 million litres of disinfectants in March, and an additional 4.5 million litres of the liquid disinfectant in April.
