Five Black Hawk S-70i helicopters from Poland's PZL Mielec aviation plant have been delivered to the Philippines, the Polish Embassy in Manila informed PAP on Sunday. The machines were delivered to their destination by air.

A sixth Black Hawk was delivered in August by sea. The helicopters are part of a USD 240 million contract for 16 S-70i machines sealed between PZL Mielec and the Philippines in 2019.

PZL Mielec is a subsidiary of the Lockheed Martin corporation.

Black Hawk helicopters are in use in more than 30 countries worldwide.
