For the sake of the health of journalists, the Polish Press Agency (PAP) has appealed against organising press conferences attended by newspeople.

PAP President Wojciech Surmacz wrote that he had launched the appeal for the sake of the health of journalists, photoreporters and mass media staff, and in order to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus.

"I am asking you to replace press conferences with teleconferences, statements and other forms of communication which do not require direct contact," he said.
