As many as 35 percent of all beds in Polish military hospitals are to be designated for COVID-19 patients, the Defence Ministry wrote on Twitter on Monday.

Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak held a meeting on Monday with the commanders of military hospitals to discuss the involvement of the military health service in the fight against the coronavirus.

Earlier, Błaszczak said that the Polish Armed Forces were servicing some 250 COVID-19 testing points. "Last week alone, soldiers collected over 75,000 swabs," Blaszczak tweeted.
