Over 3,700 deals for EU co-financing signed - ministry

The Funds and Regional Policy Ministry signed 3,789 contracts for EU co-financing worth PLN 12 billion (EUR 2.8 billion) over the first 100 days of the Mateusz Morawiecki government, the ministry reported on Saturday.

According to the ministry, the value of the EU co-financed investments totalled PLN 450 billion (EUR 104.6 billion) at the end of 2019.

"We have already invested 83 percent of the funds for the years 2014-2020, namely over PLN 273 billion (EUR 63.5 billion) and we have settled 41 percent of the total with the EC, or over PLN 135 billion (EUR 31.4 billion)," Minister Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak was quoted as saying in a ministry communique.

"By the end of 2019, the EC had paid out over EUR 28 billion to Poland," she added.
