Over 25,000 healthcare professionals infected with coronavirus
More than 25,000 medical personnel in Poland have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the outbreak of the epidemic, health ministry data released on Tuesday showed.
By October 26, COVID-19 had been confirmed in 6,761 doctors, 520 dentists, 522 laboratory diagnosticians, 15,228 nurses, 1,351 midwives, 913 paramedics and 445 pharmacists, the ministry said.
The virus has contributed to the death of 16 doctors, 11 nurses, six pharmacists, one paramedic and one midwife, according to the data. (
