October's core inflation at 2.4 percent - central bank

Poland's core inflation, excluding the prices of food and energy, measured 2.4 percent year on year in October 2019, and remained unchanged from September, the National Bank of Poland (NBP) said on Friday.

October's core inflation, excluding fixed prices, amounted to 2.6 percent year on year, down from 2.8 percent in September.

Core inflation, excluding the most volatile priced items, measured 2.6 percent year on year, up from 2.4 percent in the previous month.

The 15-percent trimmed mean inflation measured 2.0 percent year on year in October, up from 1.9 percent a month earlier.

According to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), prices of consumer goods and services increased in October by 2.5 percent year on year and by 0.2 percent month on month in comparison with September 2019.
