Number of coronavirus-infected persons down in Poland - health minister

Health Minister Łukasz Szumowski declared on Monday that the number of coronavirus-infected Poles has been decreasing, and that the statistics have been improving. He also thanked the Polish medical staff, mass media and his co-workers.
Addressing a press conference, the minister stated that the Polish medical staff had passed the test with flying colors, and praised its work and noted that life without medical personnel was impossible.
He also expressed his gratitude to journalists, owing to whom, Poland "managed to get through the epidemic without a fear felt by people who do not know how to react." The minister also said that, as of today, there would be not be any more daily press conferences but declared that coronavirus statistics would be published every day.
The minister said that there were 299 new coronavirus infections reported on Monday, and that "this is not 500-600 or thousands of new infections, as in other countries." He admitted that there would be new infections, and that their number would stand between 200 and 300 daily, but stated that the statistics has been getting better and better.
