New passenger car registrations down 20.5 pct y/y in June

A total of 35,797 new passenger cars were registered in Poland in June 2020, down by 20.5 percent from the same month in 2019, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) announced on Thursday.

ACEA's data on Polish market statistics take into account passenger cars and minibuses.

New passenger car registrations reached 179,821 in the first six months of 2020, down 35.4 percent from the same period of 2019.

The number of passenger car registrations in the entire EU reached 949,722 vehicles in June and was down by 22.3 percent from the previous year. In the first six months of 2020, the EU's passenger car registrations totalled 4,281,549 vehicles, down by 38.1 percent year on year.
