New industrial orders down 24.7 pct y/y in May - stats office

Poland's new industrial orders fell by 24.7 percent year on year in May 2020 after a 30.2 percent year on year decrease in April, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Wednesday.

In month-on-month terms, new orders went up by 8.5 percent, after a 25.3 percent decrease a month ago, GUS said.

New export orders fell by 32.3 percent year on year in May 2020 after a 35.1 percent year on year decrease in April.

In monthly terms, new export orders went down by 11.6 percent, following a 29.9 percent decline in April.
