New head of president's office appointed

President Andrzej Duda has appointed Pawel Szrot as the new head of the his office.

Szrot, until now secretary of state in the president's office, will replace Krzysztof Szczerski, who has been named the presidential commissioner for the establishment of the International Policy Bureau, Duda's office said in a statement on Monday.

Duda also appointed Piotr Cwik as the deputy head of the presidential office.

Pawel Mucha, who previously held this position, was appointed on January 1 to the position of social advisor to the president, the statement read.
