New deputy head of National Security Bureau appointed

Polish President Andrzej Duda appointed General Andrzej Reudowicz deputy head of the National Security Bureau (BBN) on Monday, the BBN announced on Twitter.

Until now, General Reudowicz has been director of the Department of Command over the Armed Forces at the BBN.

General Reudowicz was born in 1961 and is a graduate of the Mechanized Forces Military Academy and the National Defence Academy. On September 2, 2019, he was appointed director of the Department of Command over the Armed Forces at the BBN.

Before taking that position, from July 2016 to July 2019, he was the commander of the Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) in Stavanger, Norway, which is made up of representatives of 15 NATO states. The unit is responsible for planning and conducting combined exercises at the operational level.
