National Museum offers up gorgeous paintings for use as virtual conference backgrounds

The National Museum in Warsaw has made a selection of Polish paintings available to use as virtual backgrounds, as a way to liven up endless conference calls during the pandemic.
With the spread of the coronavirus meetings at the office have been replaced with conference calls with some people positioning their computer so that they have books in the background; others choose virtual backgrounds.
For a cheerful setting, people can use “Słońce majowe” (May sun) by Józef Mehoffer from 1911 showing a table on a terrace set up for tea, with teacups and a samovar in the foreground and a sunlit yard with flowers in the background.
The National Museum in Warsaw is among the institutions offering images that people can use as backgrounds during conference calls: in this case, Polish paintings from the exhibition “Poland. Power of Images”.
The backgrounds can be downloaded from its website for free.
For an autumn atmosphere, the choice of backgrounds includes “Dworek jesienią” (The country house in the autumn), a painting from 1907 by Stanisław Kamocki.
The paintings offer users a wide choice of backgrounds, depending on the mood they want to set during the call.
These range from winter landscapes to images of country life.
The collection includes more wintery paintings, such as Julian Fałat’s “Pejzaż zimowy z rzeką i ptakiem” (Winter landscape with river and bird).
