Out of a total of 380 counties in Poland, close to 300 may soon become 'red zones' due to the rise in coronavirus infections, Health Minister Adam Niedzielski told the parliament on Wednesday.

Officially, 152 counties have been designated as red zones, where the coronavirus restrictions are the most severe.

"Currently, the reality is that we are constantly monitoring the number of the red zones which is approaching 300, while the (total - PAP) number of counties is 380," Niedzielski said.
