A survey conducted by the Social Changes pollster for the wPolityce.pl portal, published on Thursday, showed that 73 percent of Poles were in favour of resigning from Russian oil and gas.

In response to the question: "In your opinion, should sanctions against Russia be increased and also include the complete resignation from Russian oil and gas imports, even if it would entail an increase in fuel and energy prices and other costs?" 73 percent of the respondents answered affirmatively, of whom 50 percent said "definitely yes."

Thirteen percent of those surveyed answered "no", while 14 percent said they had no opinion on the matter.

The poll was conducted on March 11-14 this year on a sample of 1,073 adult Poles.
