More work permits issued to foreigners in H2 - Labour Ministry

A total of 227,440 work permits were issued to foreigners in Poland during the second half of 2019, up from 217,300 in the first six month of the year, the Family, Labour and Social Policy Ministry reported on Friday.

A total number of 328,770 permits were issued to foreigners in 2018, the ministry added.

Ukrainians constituted the largest group of foreigners who were granted work permits. In the second half of 2019, the number of employees from Ukraine who received work permits amounted to 168,007. In the first six months of 2019, this number totalled 162,400, and 238,300 in the entire year 2018.
