More work permits issued to foreigners in H1 - stats office

In the first half of 2019, a total of 217,300 work permits were issued to foreigners in Poland, up from 147,980 in the first six months of 2018, the country's statistical office GUS said on Monday.

Ukrainians constituted the largest group of all foreigners granted a work permit. In the first half of 2019, the number of employees from Ukraine who received work permits amounted to 162,400.

In the first six months of 2018, this number totalled 110,070.
