More than two-thirds of Poles used internet on daily basis in 2022

The number of Poles who use the internet everyday has almost doubled in ten years, according to a new survey.
The Digital Care Group report "10 Years of the Mobile Revolution", found that now 69.3 percent of Poles turn to the internet daily compared to 35.9 percent in 2012.
It also found that only 17.6 percent never went online compared to 40.9 ten years ago.
The report said that this rapid change was influenced by several factors including the greater availability of the internet, its price and the increasing quality of connection.
It also said that a technological leap had taken place in Poland over the past decade. As an example, it wrote that in 2012 only 5.4 percent of respondents had said that they had owned a smartphone, but in 2022 already 76.8 percent reported that they had such phones.
The report also showed that while the percentage of people with desktop computers dropped, from 31.6 percent in 2012 to 4.7 percent in 2022, the percentage of Poles who used laptops rose from 20 percent to 42 percent during that same period.
