Further easing of restrictions for the upcoming holiday period will be announced later in the week, the Ministry of Health spokesperson said on Tuesday.

Wojciech Andrusiewicz said in a radio interview on Tuesday that the next stage of easing Covid-related restrictions will be presented at a press conference this week. However, he said that it might not be a "very spectacular package" as many restrictions had already been lifted.

At the same time, he pointed out that the Ministry of Health wants the wearing of masks in interior public spaces to remain in place until the end of the holidays.

Andrusiewicz also said that there are about 60 cases of the Indian virus mutation in Poland, about 40 cases of the South African mutation, and three cases of the Brazilian one.

"With us, this transmission of the virus, apart from the British mutation, is not as fast as in other countries, even in Germany, where we have several thousand cases of the Indian version alone," Andrusiewicz noted.
