The isolation period for people with Covid-19 and those found to be carrying the virus will be shortened from 10 to seven days starting from February 15, the health ministry said on Tuesday.

Wojciech Andrusiewicz, the ministry's spokesperson, said the quarantine will be automatically lifted after the seventh isolation day, and patients will be released without any additional testing.

He added that people who went into isolation under the previous, 10-day regime, will be informed about the new regulation by SMS.
