Medical staff in Poland will be able to take a fourth coronavirus vaccination from August 17, Poland's health minister announced on Friday.

Until now a fourth jab was reserved for people with low immunity and for those aged over 60.

"From August 17, a fourth jab will be available for medical personnel in clinics and hospitals, medical students and pharmacists," Adam Niedzielski said.

Niedzielski said medical staff handling Covid-19 patients would be first in line for the fourth vaccination jab.
