March unemployment drops to 5.4 percent - stats office
Poland's unemployment rate fell by 0.1 percentage points month on month in March 2023 to 5.4 percent, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported on Wednesday.
Economists polled by PAP expected a 5.4 percent unemployment figure in the third month of 2023.
The number of registered unemployed measured 846,900 in March against 864,800 in February, GUS also said.
Earlier, the Family and Social Policy Ministry estimated March's unemployment rate at 5.4 percent as well.
