The majority of Poles support the idea of constructing emergency hospitals to help deal with the growing number of COVID-19 patients, according to an opinion poll.

Asked in a Social Changes poll for the web portal whether they back the decision to prepare new temporary hospitals, 68 percent of respondents answered yes.

Thirty-four percent of people were definitely in favour of the plan, while another 34 percent answered "rather yes."

The opposite view was expressed by 15 percent of respondents. Some 17 percent of respondents said they would rather not support the idea of constructing the hospitals.

The survey was conducted on a nationwide, representative sample of 1,060 adult Poles on October 23-26, 2020.
