From May 11 Lithuania will allow entry for Polish employees, research staff and business travellers without quarantine requirements. Lithuanian FM Linas Linkevicius said that the country may totally open its border with Poland in early summer.

Linkevicius said Lithuania's strategic partnership with Poland has remained unimpaired by to-date restrictions connected with the coronavirus epidemic.

On May 11 Lithuania also plans to open a second crossing for passenger traffic on its Polish border at Lazdijai-Ogrodniki. Currently only one crossing for passenger vehicles is open at Kalvarija-Budzisko.
