Engineers of Kraków (southern Poland)-based company EC Engineering are participating in the construction of the new generation of 'TGV' high-speed trains in France, the company has announced.

EC Engineering will provide instruments for the production of aluminium elements for the trains.

A company representative said cooperation in the creation of the new TGV (French: Train a Grande Vitesse, 'High-Speed Train') is the result of five years of working with French rolling stock producer Alstom Transport.

The Kraków engineers have already designed a production station to make parts of the chassis and walls of the train. The instruments will be produced at the company's facilities in Mielec, among other sites. EC Engineering will soon design and produce further production apparatus to put together the train's skeleton.

EC Engineering is one of the world's biggest providers of design services, chiefly on the Western European and Asian markets. In addition to design services, the company produces instrumentation and components for vehicles at its two production facilities.
