Krakow airport services over 205,000 passengers in July

The Krakow-Balice International Airport in southern Poland serviced 205,600 passengers in July, 74 percent less than in the previous year, the airport announced on Monday.

In January-July, the airport serviced nearly 1.76 million passengers, down by 2.84 million compared to the corresponding period of 2019.

Krakow Airport CEO Radoslaw Wloszek said that compared to June, when the airport handled only 14,400 passengers, throughout July an increasing number of carriers and passengers have been returning to the port.

According to the poll conducted among passengers at Krakow airport, 85 percent of them positively assessed the sense of security while passing through the airport. No incidents related to breaking sanitary rules were recorded there.

Krakow Airport is the second largest in Poland in terms of the number of passengers. In 2019, it handled a record-high 8,411,000 passengers.
