Over 200 exhibitors from Poland and around the world will present their offers at the 12th International Tourism and Free Time Fair to be held at the southwestern Polish city of Wrocław's City Stadium from Friday, February 28 till Sunday March 1.

The fair's director, Piotr Olczak, told a press conference that this year's event will involve 230 exhibitors from various regions of Poland and the world.

"Every year we extend our fair's offer," Olczak said. "This year, we're using the stadium's exhibition space to the maximum, filling it with attractions for visitors - including for those who seek inspiration for where to spend the vacations."

The partner for this year's fair is Zanzibar, whose customs, cuisine and tourism offer can be sampled during the fair. A co-organiser of the event is the Lower Silesian Regional Governor's Office. The director of tourism at the governor's office, Piotr Wnukowicz, said the Lower Silesian stand would gather the region's most interesting attractions.

The Lower Silesia stand will also feature representatives of the region's foreign partners, with 27 exhibitors showing in all.

The tourism fair will be accompanied by a Travellers' Festival, during which visitors will be able to hear the tales of over a dozen globetrotters. "This year's speakers will talk about journeys to Columbia, Papua New Guinea and about cycling tours among other topics," Olczak said.

Another side-event will be the Culinary Festival, at which visitors will be able to sample dishes from various parts of the world. One of the festival's guests this year will be Teo Vafidis, presenting Greek cuisine.

There will also be workshops, training and thematic competitions.
