Interior minister opens exhibition on Polish firemen in Strasbourg
Interior Minister Joachim Brudziński opened a photographic exhibition devoted to Polish firemen in the European Parliament on Tuesday. During their 14-day mission to Sweden in August 2018, the firemen helped the country to put out massive forest fires.
The ceremony was also attended by some of the firemen involved in the mission.
The Polish Interior Ministry quoted Joachim Brudziński as saying that "through such actions as the mission of Polish firemen to Sweden we show that people can count on us and that we are reliable, and this exhibition is proof of this reliability."
The interior minister also said he was proud he can invite people "to visit this special exhibition presenting our Polish solidarity with Europeans."
The ceremony at the European Parliament in Strasbourg was also attended by Polish Maritime Minister Marek Gróbarczyk.
