Influenza infections slowing down announces minister

Latest figures show that influenza infections in Poland are slowing down, the Polish health minister wrote on Twitter on Monday .
Adam Niedzielski wrote that last week saw over 306,000 influenza infections and suspected infections, up 1 percent on the preceding week.
He added that the coming days will be of "key importance" to the infection count.
According to figures by the National Institute for Public Health, 389,088 cases of influenza and flu-like illnesses were reported between December 23 and 31.
In all, December saw over 1,139,000 influenza and flu-related infections, with over 8,000 hospitalisations. In November, the infection count stood at over 490,000 with nearly 2,000 hospitalisations.
