Polish president's spokesperson Błażej Spychalski said in an interview with the wPolityce web portal that very important agreements will be signed during a visit to Poland by French President Emmanuel Macron, who is coming to Warsaw on Monday.

Having expressed hope that the visit will be a breakthrough in Polish-French relations, Spychalski said that President Macron will come to Poland for the first time.

"I think that it will be a very good visit. Its programme is very broad. Apart from a meeting with President Andrzej Duda, President Macron will also meet with PM Mateusz Morawiecki and the Sejm (lower house) and Senate speakers. This shows the importance attached to the visit by the French side," he said.

Spychalski added that President Macron will be accompanied by quite a large team and repeated that very important deals will be signed in the course of the visit.

"We hope that after the experiences (in bilateral relations - PAP) of recent years, which maybe were not the best, this visit will really be a breakthrough," Spychalski said.
