IMF forecasts Polish general gov't sector deficit at 10.5 pct GDP in '20

The International Monetary Fund forecasts the general government sector deficit to be at the level of 4.3 percent of GDP in 2021, according to its cyclical Fiscal Monitor report.

The International Monetary Fund revised the forecast for the Polish general government balance to minus 10.5 percent of GDP in 2020 from the minus 6.7 percent level estimated in April. For 2021, it forecasts a general government balance of minus 4.3 percent of GDP against the previous level of minus 3.5 percent.

The report does not include any justification for the forecasts.
