If we turn away from Ukraine the war will come to us, PM warns

The only way Poland can get involved in the Russia-Ukraine war is by turning its back on Ukraine, Poland's prime minister said in a weekly podcast.
"Today there is only one way for Poland to get involved in the war, and this is by turning its back on Ukraine. If we don't support (Ukraine - PAP), it will become very dependent on Russia, and then the war will come to our doorstep by itself," Mateusz Morawiecki said.
He also mentioned Tuesday's missile blast in eastern Poland, which killed two people. According to Morawiecki, the incident, said to have been caused by a stray Ukrainian defence rocket fired against a mass Russian missile attack on Ukraine on the same day, showed that the war was a "realistic scenario" and a threat to Poland.
He repeated earlier condolences to the families of the blast victims, and noted that "as a Nato frontline state we also have to be - and are - prepared for this kind of situation."
