Half marathon championships in Gdynia postponed due to coronavirus threat

The 2020 World Half Marathon Championships planned for March 29 in Gdynia, a port city on the Baltic coast of Poland, have been postponed until October 17 due to the coronavirus threat.

The event, featuring close to 30,000 runners from 80 countries, was scheduled to take place from Friday, March 27, to Sunday, March 29.

The first two days were to include runs for children and youth, whereas the main competition, over the distance of 21.097 km, was planned for Sunday.
