Gov't approves report on 2019 budget implementation
The government has passed a resolution that approves a report on the implementation of the 2019 budget, the Finance Ministry announced on Friday, adding that the budget closed with a PLN 13.7 billion (EUR 3.1 billion) deficit. .
Last year's budget incomes exceeded the plan by PLN 12.8 billion (EUR 2.89 billion) or 3.3 percent and reached PLN 400.5 billion (EUR 90.48 billion)
In 2019, expenses amounted to PLN 414.3 billion (EUR 93.60 billion), and were lower by PLN 2.0 billion (EUR 450.0 million) or 0.5 percent of the level planned in budget law.
The budget deficit totalled PLN 13.7 billion (EUR 3.1 billion) and was lower than planned by PLN 14.8 billion (EUR 3.34 billion), or 51.9 percent of the planned maximum limit of PLN 28.5 billion (EUR 6.44 billion).
Poland's economy grew by 4.1 percent. The unemployment rate stood at 5.2 percent.
