A government spokesman has said the introduction of a tighter lockdown in Poland depends on the number of free ventilators.

"It is possible that in some time such a decision will have to be made. Everything depends on the number of free ventilators," Piotr Mueller told TVP public television on Wednesday.

Earlier, Finance Minister Tadeusz Koscinski said that local restrictions are inevitable and that short-term closures of some industries are also possible.
