The Polish government could introduce lockdowns at a county level, but the decision depends on the number of infections in a given province, the government spokesman said on Tuesday.

Piotr Mueller said that many options are currently being discussed but no decision has yet been made. "One of the options is regionalisation, and we have also used it in previous months," he said.

Last week, Health Minister Adam Niedzielski announced that the current restrictions on culture, sport and hotels will apply until March 14, with the exception of the Warminsko-Mazurskie province, where hotels, shopping malls, cinemas, theatres and swimming pools were closed on Monday, and children from grades one to three returned to remote learning.
