Future Polish-US ties good to very good - PM
Polish-US ties under the new US presidency promise to be good or even better, the Polish prime minister told a press conference on Wednesday.
Mateusz Morawiecki said the two countries were closely bound by multiple investment projects, strategic cooperation and a convergent world outlook.
The prime minister was speaking just hours before Joe Biden was sworn in as the 46th US president, replacing Donald Trump.
"Joint investments and strategic cohesion will make Polish-US cooperation good or very good," he said. "In many areas Poland and the US are bound by common interests and a common world outlook."
As examples he named US involvement in the Polish-Croatian Three Seas infrastructure initiative, Poland's cooperation with the US in energy and communications, and the US military presence on the eastern Nato flank.
