Former British Prime Minister David Cameron announced on Twitter on Friday he was travelling to Poland with humanitarian aid for Ukrainian war refugees.

"I'm currently driving to Poland with two Chippy Larder colleagues to make our delivery to the Red Cross," Cameron tweeted. "It’s going to be a long drive, but I’ll keep you updated along the way. #StandWithUkraine."

The tweet was accompanied by a picture of Cameron in the cab of a lorry.

In an earlier post, the former head of the British government explained that Chippy Larder is a food project in his local town, which helps low income families with surplus food from supermarkets.
