Flag carrier LOT extends Beijing flight suspension till March 28

In connection with the coronavirus outbreak, Polish national airline PLL LOT has again extended its suspension of flights to the Chinese capital, Beijing, this time until March 28, LOT spokesman Michał Czernicki told PAP on Thursday.

Czernicki explained that the LOT management board had taken the decision in order to safeguard the health of passengers and crew.

On January 31, LOT's management board suspended flights to the Chinese capital until February 9. Last week the carrier extended the suspension until February 29.

"We are still attentively monitoring the epidemiological situation worldwide and remain in constant contact with officials of the Ministry of Health and Chief Sanitary Inspectorate," the spokesman said.

LOT offers scheduled flights daily to two Beijing airports: Beijing Capital International Airport and Beijing Daxing.
