First support forum for Polish business abroad to kick off on Thursday

The first support forum for Polish business abroad: PAIH EXPO 2018 will be held at Warsaw's National Stadium on October 25.

During a one-day event, entrepreneurs, especially from the SME sector, will be able to get information on foreign expansion opportunities, deputy head of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) Wojciech Fedko told PAP.

As he noted, entrepreneurs interested in entering foreign markets or expanding the range of their operations will get the chance to gain "comprehensive market advice" in one place and take part in 57 workshops.

The forum participants will be able to seek advice from Warsaw's market managers, heads of PAIH foreign trade offices and international experts.

According to Fedko, there has not been such an "integrated method" of providing entrepreneurs with information on support instruments offered not only by the Polish government but also by commercial entities. He added that the project is addressed especially to small and medium-sized companies.

The deputy head of PAIH pointed out that the agency already has 62 trade offices operating abroad, and eight more are expected to open by the end of the year. Among potential locations are Hong Kong, the Philippines, Costa Rica and Peru.

According to the agency, over 4,000 Polish companies are expected to take part in the PAIH Expo.
