Fewer tourists travelling in Poland in May - GUS

The number of tourists who spent at least one night in guesthouses and hotels in Poland in May 2020 decreased by 88.1 percent year on year to 210,800, according to Central Statistical Office (GUS) data released on Monday.

GUS estimates that in May the total number of guests included 11,400 foreign and 199,400 domestic tourists.

The report also said that tourists booked 980,200 overnight stays, down by 87.6 percent year on year. As many as 112,900 accommodations were offered in May to foreign tourists, and 867,300 to domestic visitors, down by 93.2 percent and by 86.1 percent, respectively.
