Fewer Poles migrating to Sweden - Swedish stats office

Every year fewer Poles emigrate to Sweden while the number of Polish citizens leaving that country is ever greater, according to the latest data released by Statistics Sweden (SCB), the national statistical office.

In 2019, 3,154 Polish citizens registered in Sweden, the lowest number for the last 10 years. The record year was 2015, when 5,552 Poles went to that country. Last year the most Poles in history left the country, at 2,013. The number has grown steadily since 2014, when 1,147 Poles left Sweden.

In 2019, there were 93,700 Polish-born people in Sweden. According to the SCB, on January 1, 2020, over 10.3 million people lived in the country.
